So many have the truth distorted. In Galatians 1:9 ESV, Paul tells us, “As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Let that soak in for a moment. The gospel we have received that Paul is referring to is the Word of God. The Bible, which also stands for: Basic instructions before leaving earth.

How can we sit here and call ourselves followers of Christ when we’re listening to the world around us? How can you claim to know Him and follow Him, yet you choose to believe contrary to His word? This burden has weighed down my heart as we’ve drawn closer to His coming. There are so many people out there, even my closest friends and family that I hold so dear, that are lost in this world. Driven by money, government, politics, man-made issues, and a society that never stops breathing down the back of your neck. Class doesn’t matter unless you possess wealth. The same people who preach unification are the same people who are dividing. And it’s because they choose a gospel contrary to the word of God. Many claim to be followers of Christ, but they follow the world more than they follow Him and it shows.

My point of this post is that I think we should all take a good look and examine ourselves. Does what you claim to believe in line up in how you talk to others? When you discuss your beliefs, can you defend them with valid evidence? At the end of the day, if your beliefs don’t align with the word of God, you need to re-evaluate. His Word is above any man’s, and if that seems wrong to you, you need to take a step back. Open your Bible and read. If you struggle to understand it, ask God to open your eyes and give you the clarity as well as the ability to understand and process what you’re reading. Read, pray, listen, and obey.
